New Version of the CQDPCM’s Code of Ethics for CPD effective June 1st, 2026

The second edition of the CQDPCM’s Code of Ethics for CPD comes into effect on June 1, 2026. You can download the document for free by clicking on TÉLÉCHARGER above. The document is available in digital format only.

The CQDPCM’s Code of Ethics for CPD serves as a framework for the application of educational, ethical, and administrative standards that must guide the conduct of every organization or individual involved in the development of CPD activities.

One of the objectives of the Code of Ethics in CPD is to avoid any conflict of interest, real or potential, involving organizers, resource persons, and participants during an educational activity. The Code also aims to prevent any interference by a funding organization in the scientific content or messages of a training activity.

Key Changes

To familiarize yourself with the key changes to the Code, you can consult:

– the English translation of the webinar presentation given on May 28, 2026 by the CQDPCM

– the presentation from the bilingual workshop held at the National CPD Accreditation Conference (16NAC) on October 21, 2025

Finally, all CPD providers must ensure that the educational activities they organize or participate in are primarily designed to help physicians acquire, master, or refine knowledge and skills with a view to improving the quality of services provided to the public.

To this end, the CQDPCM offers supplementary reading materials such as the Vade-mecum en développement professionnel continu and several best-practice guides, available on the CQDPCM website (available in French only).
